New Online Slot Based On Classic Scare Flick “Psycho” On Its Way
The Toronto listed, Las Vegas headquartered software supplier NYX Gaming Group Ltd. has announced details of a new online title that is sure to send shiver up the spine of any self-respecting slots player.
Just when you thought it was safe to peek out from under the covers, news has just come in that Alfred Hitchcock’s classic fright night film Psycho is about to make a reappearance, this time in the form of an online video gaming slot.
This new title will join the other branded slots which NYX have in their growing collection, which include Andre the Giant, Holly Madison and Judge Dredd.
The Deal And Its Details
NYX Gaming group has entered into an agreement with NBC Universal subsidiary Universal Partnerships and Licensing, to develop and launch a title based upon the well-known 1960 thriller.
The hard yards of development will be undertaken in Sydney by NextGen Gaming, which is a subsidiary of NYX Gaming Group Ltd., and NYX is promising that the new Psycho slot will see the light of day at some stage in the first quarter of 2015.
As part of the deal NYX has managed to attain initial exclusive distribution rights for the slot through its online delivery platform OGS (Open Gaming System).
Upon the news of the new title Commercial Director of NYX David Johnson released a statement noting the place that the motion picture film Psycho has within popular culture, and his personal belief that NYX are well placed to deliver a new slot of high standards.
Psycho
Released in 1960 and directed by Alfred Hitchcock, Psycho is a legendary film which has been hugely influential on the horror and thriller movie genres.
The film starred Anthony Perkins and Janet Leigh and was nominated for 4 Academy Awards at the time of its release, and today is rated a score of 8.6 out of 10 online at IMDB (Internet Movie Data Base).
