Gauselmann Subsidiary Merkur Gaming Announce New CEO
There’s movement afoot amongst the heavy hitters of Austrian-Germany game development and promotion, with news that a new Chief Executive Officer for international sales and distribution has been appointed at Merkur Gaming, which a subsidiary of the Gauselmann Group.
Jens Halle will be joining Merkur Gaming after stepping down from his roles with the Austrian gaming company NOVOMATIC AG towards the end of 2014, where he was serving as a Managing Director of American Sales as well as the MD of Austrian Gaming Industries – a subsidiary of NOVOMATIC.
Halle had been with NOVOMATIC and Austrian Gaming Industries for more than 15 years, and his switching of teams amongst the major players in that part of the world is sure to raise some interest.
New Role
Jens Halle’s new role at Merkur will be to consolidate and strengthen their current business activities in the markets that Merkur has already established, as well as explore and investigate new opportunities for the German based company as they look to expand their interests and offer their products in new and untested markets.
One of Merkur’s primary interests is the development and distribution of gaming products to service providers, and it will be these particular products that Halle will be tasked with promoting and selling.
Welcome Aboard
Chairman of the Gauselmann Group Paul Gauselmann, and Sales Director Jürgen Stühmeyer, welcomed Jens Halle aboard to the company with a joint statement, praising Halle’s experience in the gaming industry, and their belief that he is the right man to take Merkur’s products forward, and to promote them to existing clients as well as finding them new ones.
For his part, Halle returned the favour and made mention in a statement his excitement at working with the renowned gaming provider Gauselmann, and believes the company has extensive infrastructure and experience which will be of great assistance to him as he looks to grow the Merkur brand.
