Net Entertainment To Release Guns N’ Roses Themed Slot
Swedish game developer Net Entertainment has used their appearance at 2015’s ICE Totally Gaming conference in London to announce that they will be releasing a new online slot machine, which will take its inspiration from the classic rock and roll band Guns N’ Roses, and use it as its theme.
Net Ent has made a tradition of dropping one big announcement every year at the ICE conference, and this year’s surprise in certainly going to get everybody in the online slots world talking, as this is the first time a slot will be released with a theme attached to it of this size.
Guns N’ Roses
Guns N’ Roses are a legendary rock and roll band that first formed in 1985, and they are considered by most people to be one of the biggest musical groups of all time.
During their career so far to date, they have amassed 6 number one singles, 6 number albums and 16 top ten singles, while all along selling over 100 million records worldwide.
Net Entertainment And The New Slot
Net Ent have gone big into branded gaming in recent years, with titles such as Aliens, Scarface and South Park proving popular with online gamers, and this new slot will be the first time Net Ent have used a musical act as inspiration for one of its games, instead of a movie or television show.
The announcement by Net Ent of this new slot at the ICE conference was very short on detail, but we can make some guesses as to what we might expect from it when it is released.
The new slot will be a collaboration between Net Entertainment and the Universal Music Group and Geffen Records.
In terms of what the slot might actually consist of, it is pretty much guaranteed to have the best soundtrack of any game ever, if the bands musical output has been included as part of the licensing deal.
Additionally, the band has quite a few iconic images attached to them from their career, such as their band logo, and various album covers artworks which are instantly recognisable.
With these two rich sources of material available to Net Ent to work with, the slot will definitely look and sound great, and as long as they get the gameplay and user interaction right, this new slot has a very good chance of becoming an instant classic.
