In Good to Go, you’re going to discover a Microgaming slot machine, a game themed around Formula 1 racing. It seems to be an older title from this developer, at least based on the quality of the graphics used in it, but it does well enough with its features that you should probably still consider playing it if you’re a fan of the racing world. Formula 1 slots are not rare, but you’re not going to find them at all developers either, so they’re worth pursuing wherever you can locate one.
The game feels like an older title, with its 9 lines arranged on 5 reels and using wild symbols, scatters and free spins. It’s not very generous with the features, but the top prize is a very good target, going up to $50,000.
Features of Good to Go
There are three very popular features that modern games tend to offer, and all three are part of Good to Go. The scatter symbol is one of them, the wild is another, while the free spins are probably the rarest out of the three.
The wild symbol is the one I like best, and the reason is simple. It’s the symbol that can create a combo that offers the 5,000x top jackpot. No other symbol offers as much as the wild, though there are a couple that offer 2,500x. 2 to 5 symbols are needed to give you prizes from the wild directly, while a single one is sufficient to help out with its substitution power. When it appears as a wild, it can be in any position on the line, as long as the rest of the icons that are part of the new combo are properly arranged.
The other feature is the scatter, and it’s a bit more of a let down in this case. As a scatter, it’s supposed to be capable of appearing in any position on the reels, but in this game the symbols have to be on neighboring reels, going from left to right. They don’t have to be on paylines, but they can’t be just anywhere in the game. The prizes offered by the scatter are also on the low side, going up to 50x the bet only. Most slots give you at least 100x.
Free Games Feature
The free spins aren’t that generous either. You get 3 spins for free, with a chance to trigger more as you play them, restarting the feature each time this happens. If you get five scatter symbols during the free spins, you get three times the usual payout from them (150x the bet).
Betting options and jackpots
Even though only 9 lines are present, the wagers go up to $90, using $10 line bets. These lines get up to 10 coins when they’re active, with their values being between $0.01 and $1.
Good to Go will bring you payouts of up to 5,000 times what you risked on the line bet. That means up to $50,000, a big enough amount that it could even be considered life changing by many.
Design and symbols
The game doesn’t look bad, but it shows that it’s an older slot. There is also the fact that there are more playing cards than racing themed icons, more of them than in 99% of the other slots actually. The game uses 8 playing cards, from 7 to Ace, while pretty much every other game uses a maximum of 6. They tend to take over a huge chunk of the screen, since they pay less, so they’re more common anyway.
Symbols: Pit Girl (wild, 5,000x), Speedometer (scatter, 50x bet), F1 Car (2,500x), Game Logo (2,500x), Helmet (1,000x), Checkered Flags (1,000x), Racing Tire (500x), Ace (500x), King (250x), Queen (250x), Jack (150x), Ten (150x), Nine (150x), Eight (100x) and Seven (100x).
Is It Worth Playing?
It is worth a look if you’re generally a fan of the F1 races or of cars in general, but otherwise it’s a game you can safely ignore.
Good to Go can be found at any Microgaming casino, where you get a chance to play it for real money or in free mode.
