Gamesys Continues To Build Post Acquisition With New NetEnt Slots Deal
The London, United Kingdom based Business to Business and Business to Consumer casino content operator Gamesys is continuing to move forward in the aftermath of their recent acquisition by the Intertain Group, which is based out of its headquarters in Toronto, Canada.
Intertain Group’s Acquisition of Gamesys
In February of this year, Intertain Group acquired a number of Gamesys’s customer-facing assets in a deal worth £425.8 million, which contained a 10 year service agreement component which will see Intertain gain control of well-known casino brands Jackpot Joy and Starspins, and their associated gaming content and platform and delivery services.
Other Gamesys assets did remain outside of the Intertain Group deal though, with the brands Caesars Casino, Heart FM, The Sun and Virgin Games remaining independent from Intertain and continuing to be operated by Gamesys.
The New Deal Between Gamesys And Net Entertainment
Showing that they don’t intend to lost momentum, Gamesys has entered into a license agreement with the Swedish online slots developer Net Entertainment, which will initially see NetEnt deliver a selection of their titles to the UK based operator, which in all likelihood will include popular NetEnt titles such as Gonzo’s Quest, Jack and the Beanstalk and Starburst.
The new NetEnt slots titles will be rolled out across all of the sites that Gamesys now operates for Intertain Group, as well as through the independent brands that Gamesys still operates.
Comment From Net Entertainment
Enrico Bradamante, who acts in the position of Managing Director and Chief of European Market Operations at Net Entertainment’s Malta division, has commented that he believes that NetEnt and Gamesys share a similar philosophical vision of delivering a strong and valuable playing experience to all of their slots gamers.
Mr Bradamante also stated that he believes Net Entertainments quality of slots content will assist in the continued growth of the UK’s Gamesys, and that Gamesys’s position and presence within several regulated gaming markets around the world aligns with NetEnt’s own growth strategies and desired market positioning.
