NextGen Gaming To Release Two New Slots This Month
The Sydney, Australia based game developer NextGen Gaming has confirmed that they will be releasing two new online video slot games in the month of March, 2015.
The two new slot tiles will be Psycho, which we have previously reported on, and The Spin Lab, which the team from NextGen has managed to keep hidden from us so far, and on first glimpse, shows great potential.
The Psycho Slot
First off the rank in this news piece is a big name with big potential – Psycho.
Fully licensed by Universal Pictures, the Psycho slot draws its inspiration from the 1960’s classic motion picture of the same name by acclaimed director Alfred Hitchcock.
The basic mechanics of the game are a 5 reel 25 payline setup, with appropriate audio and visual content to match the theme of thrills in the darkness.
Additional features of the game include a Gamble option, where the player can double or quadruple their bet; Scatters which can award Free Spins to the value of 10, 15 or 20; and Wilds which can Multiply the players Line Bet from a basic X2 all the way up to a massive X40!
The game itself is not overly complicated, and the team from NextGen have decided to embrace the feel of the original content material and set a bleak and sombre mood, rather than to blind and daze the player with bright colours and flashing lights.
The Spin Lab Slot
The second slot that NextGen Gaming will be offering up this month is known as The Spin Lab.
On the surface this game might seem like any other, with its atypical 5 reel 25 payline setup; a Sci-Fi theme and a $50,000 maximum win; but it is what lurks beneath the surface that will be of greatest interest to gamers.
The Spin Lab slot features a Free Spins element that is quite unlike any other, where the player is afforded the opportunity to choose from a total of 27 completely different Free Spin options.
Unusual? Yes!
Without going into full 27 option detail we shall give you a brief overview of how this Free Spins feature works.
Basically, the player is able to pick from 3 rows of available options, with each choice revealing a different outcome.
For example, one outcome may reveal 5 Free Spins which throws in some Stacked and Wild combinations as well; or another outcome may produce 10 Free Spins with Multipliers and Wilds being introduced, etc.
And so it goes, with the player having a full 27 options to choose from in the Free Spins game.
There will also be a tracking mechanism associated with the Free Spins game that will allow the player to record their choices and be aware of the possible winning combinations that they can try to make.
It will be interesting to see what slot players make of this new type of Free Spins feature which affords them greater control and a different type of gameplay than has previously been seen before.
It may be a leap too far for some, but we personally hope that this latest innovation is here to stay and will lead to even more advancement in the world of online slot gaming.
