Flying Circus Slots

Flying-CircusIn Flying Circus, you’re going to discover a circus themed slot machine from Microgaming, a game that is actually kind of weird, just like a true circus should be, especially when clowns get involved. The weird part in this case is not the theme, as the circus is often chosen to act as inspiration for modern slot machines, but rather the way the characters are created, looking almost like real humans, but not entirely.

There are 5 reels in Flying Circus, 20 lines, plus all sorts of cool features that modern slots tend to have, like the scatter symbol, the wild or free spins and their multipliers. There is also a top prize of $50,000, much more impressive than the rest of the game.

Features of Flying Circus

The slot’s features are the ones that you’ve seen countless times before, in other titles. It starts with the wild symbol, then the scatter, the round of free spins and the multiplier that applies to their wins.

The Ring Master, a man with a thin moustache and a hat on his head, will act as the wild feature of Flying Circus. This symbol is useful in two ways. First of all, if it happens to land on a payline where a couple of matching symbols are missing just one more to create a combo, it will take the role of that symbol and a prize is awarded to the player as a result. If the wild lands on a line together with a couple of other symbols of the same type, they will create an all wild combo, awarding the slot’s best payouts this way. Even the 5,000x top jackpot is given for a combo of wilds, five of them being needed for the maximum payout.

The other symbol with a little bit extra to give you is the scatter, represented by the image of the Clown. This one will both give you prizes directly and it will trigger free spins, for an extra chance at a decent payday. The direct prizes are offered as total bet multiples, between 1x and 100x, depending on how many Clowns are randomly placed on the reels (two to five needed).

Free Games Feature

With the help of 3+ Clowns scattered on the reels, you will also receive 25 spins for free from the game. All prizes are doubled for the duration of these free spins. You have the power to retrigger free spins, as long as you meet the initial requirements once again.

Betting options and jackpots

You are free to cover as many lines as you want with your bet, as long as you use at least one coin for each one. Up to 20 can be used per line though, with denominations ranging from $0.01 to $0.50, so the wagers can vary by quite a bit, depending on what kind of budget you’re working with. The maximum line bet is $10, while the total bet is $200.

You can walk away with a top payout which is 5,000 times bigger than the line bet you used in that round. That means up to $50,000 cash, with a $10 line bet used.

Design and symbols

As I’ve mentioned before, the design of the game is the one part that seems a bit off. The character look almost like the developers took real photos of them, and then made them look like they were computer made. Other than that, excellent job on the quality of the symbols, with the exception of the classic playing cards of course. The reels are encased in a gold border, and for some reason there is pop corn lying on the floor next to the game area.

Symbols: Ring Master (wild, 5,000x), Clown (100x bet, scatter), Girl (1,500x), Elephant (500x), Lion (250x), Big Top (250x), Ace (150x), King (150x), Queen (125x), Jack (125x), 10 (100x) and 9 (100x).

Is It Worth Playing?

It has its moments, especially when you look at the prizes that are offered, and the overall quality of the graphics. The features are average at best though, identical to those given in a lot of other slot machines.

You will find Flying Circus at any online casino which chooses to use software from Microgaming, playable either for free or for real money.
